So we managed to get to Courtenay that evening staying in Eric and Karen's home. Visited my Dad for an hour or so for each of the next few days. He is in surprisingly good health for approaching his 98th Christmas. Mostly very sharp mentally although he has senior moments from time to time. He of course is not in good physical shape because of the car accident he was in 22 years ago. Confined pretty much to a wheel chair when he wants to move around.
While there we drove down to Nanaimo to visit with Dianne's Uncle Bill Carr and his wife Pat. Bill has been coming up every so often to see Dad.
Left Courtenay on Tuesday to get back to Seattle and Nicolle and her family that evening staying over until the Friday after Thanksgiving. We wanted to be back to Salt Lake by Saturday to get some things done before checking into the MTC on Monday the 30th. The roads were good and instead of stopping anywhere for the night we drove on getting through to Salt Lake by late evening, which left us all of Saturday to settle in.
